You will be allowed to taste everything you want to, so your taste buds will be happy. It is simply impossible to remain hungry and to leave without buying!
Also, you will enjoy a story about the history since the foundation of the Old Bazaar, and its invaluable contribution to the development of the city as the merchant capital of Southern Russia.
- General sightseeing tour of the city. From 1749, the city has made the way from the Temernik Custom House and the Fortress of Saint Dimitry of Rostov to modern residential quarters. What did Rostov look like at the turn of the 20th century, where did the first tram run, how did the first cinema house operate?
The tour focuses on Rostov’s history, economy, everyday living, and culture. The hospitable and busy city, located on the high right bank of the Don River, is often called “Southern Gates of Russia”, “a port of five seas”, and now it is an official capital of the Southern Federal District and has an honorary title, the City of Military Glory.
The tourists will have a walk along the beautiful embankment, enjoy a cup of the best-smelling coffee in one of the coffee shops of the city, visit main squares of Rostov, see unusual architecture of merchants’ mansions and the main church – the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The tour runs along the streets of Nakhichevan, a former Armenian city, the excursionists will visit memorial sites set up to commemorate events of the Great Patriotic War.
