On the Tree-planting Day, national culture associations of Rostov-on-Don planted the Alley of International Friendship in Ostrovsky Park. Over 20 trees were planted near the entrance to the park at the intersection of 14^th Line and Sholokhov Avenue.

After the alley was planted, the participants could talk informally and have a cup of hot tea from a Cossack samovar provided by Cossacks of the Rostov Cossack Association.
