Aleksey Logvinenko: “Since the Start of the Year, over 20 km of Buried Storm Water Drain Pipelines have been Fixed Up”

The Road Services continue to clear up the existing storm water drains.

Since the start of the year, over 20 km of buried storm drains and 1,300 running meters of open drains have been flushed and cleared, over 150 grates of surface runoff inlets have been set up to replace the stolen ones, over 50 inlets and inspection wells have been repaired. The city’s total drainage area is 13,500 ha and includes 35 independent basins. The city’s storm water drainage system is 173.4 km long. Also, the storm water collection system includes 2,496 surface runoff inlets, 2,672 inspection wells, 11,553 grates and covers, and the buried drainage system is 156.4 km long, and the open drainage system is 17 km long. The Road Services staff work daily according to their plan to ensure proper and smooth operation of the storm drain system.
