Over 2,000 Trees and about 1,000 Bushes to be Planted near Temernik River

In the main city of the region, environmental rehabilitation of the 8.5-kilometer section of the Temernik River from its source down to the Nizovoye Reservoir is drawing to its end. At the final stage, 2,091 trees and 960 shrubs are to be planted. In October, perennial plants were planted on an area of about five hectares. Lawn grass will strengthen the river slopes, prevent wind and water erosion and make the soil more resistant to external influences. Starting from 2019, the riverbed and banks were cleared, slopes were formed up to the design marks, mesh structures were installed, foundation sills were arranged, soil and garbage were removed. The clearing and landscaping of the section of the Temernik River is to be completed by late November.
