Sobino Park

Lengorodok, Zheleznodorozhny District

The park was named after a revolutionary Anatoly Sobino. His grave is preserved in the park, so is a grave of revolution activists who perished after a bomb attack at the Main Rostov Railway Workshops on September 2, 1920.

In the Soviet period, the garden square was just a small green space. In December 2020, it was completely restored. To maintain its functionality and keep its historical layout, it was divided into two even parts: an area of quiet rest for older people and young families and an area of sports recreation for young adults. A large new kids’ playground and a sports ground for street workout, a dog run, a new outdoor stage and an area for formal events were set up. Paving stones were replaced, bike lanes and gravel walking paths were completed. To ensure comfortable recreation of the local people, there are a large number of benches, rubbish bins and navigation stands for comfortable walks.
