Dortmund Garden Square

Dortmund Garden Square is a large park in the Sovetsky District, Rostov-on-Don. It was founded in 1983, its area is 2.01 ha. It was named after Rostov-on-Don’s twin city – Dortmund, Germany. In 1983, Dortmund gave a sculpture of a brewer to Rostov as a token of friendship, it stands in the central part of the park. The sculpture is made of golden bronze, a color of beer, which Dortmund is so famous for. Also, the park has a sportsground and a special dog training ground.
