Car Sharing Now Available in Rostov-on-Don

In late September, Delimobil will launch a car sharing service in Rostov. Initially, the company will have 50 cars in the city. The car fleet is expected to be expanded later. Market players are positive about the project, noting that the market capacity of the Rostov metropolitan area makes it possible to have over 2,000 cars there. Experts believe that in the long run car sharing will decrease the burden on the city’s traffic network.

“The service will start operating in the new region with a fleet of 50 cars, mainly Hyundai Solaris. The rates are uniform for all the cities: 3 rubles per minute from 6 a.m. to 12 noon, then 7 rubles per minute as a basic rate; 8 rubles per minute as a fully covered rate. Any Russian citizen over 19 years old and having at least one year of driving experience can use the service,” says the company’s press office chief Alyona Balakireva.

Note: Delimobil is a national chain of companies established in 2015 and offering car-renting services charged per minute. Now the service is available in Moscow, St Petersburg, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Grozny, Samara, Novosibirsk and Krasnodar. The overall car fleet counts 3,200 cars.
