The competition is open to residents of the Rostov, Voronezh, and Samara regions, as well as the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics.

The competition features two categories:

• Red Book Jewels – photographs (including macro shots) of plants and animals listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation.
• Landscapes of the Native Land – photographs capturing the unique beauty of the natural scenery of one’s home region.
