Tachanka Monument Became National Cultural Heritage Site

The Tachanka monument, which is located at the southern entrance to Rostov-on-Don, was included in the Unified State Register of Cultural Heritage Sites of the Russian Federation as a cultural heritage site of federal significance. Olga Lyubimova, the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, signed the order that was published online.

The monument was inaugurated in 1977 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the October Revolution. It is dedicated to the Strike of 1902. The monument was created by sculptor Anatoly Sknarin, an Honored Artist of Russia.
