In Rostov-on-Don, from May 1, 2022 to May 14, 2022, the annual festival "Don Herring" is held. Since ancient times, the region has been famous for fish, especially herring, and the celebration of the Don herring has become a good tradition. The gastronomic festival is a vivid expression of the traditions of the Don hospitality, demonstrates the originality of the Don cuisine and attracts not only local residents, but also guests from other regions of Russia. This year the festival is held for the 5th time.

The participating restaurants have prepared a special seasonal menu for guests, the emphasis of which is on dishes with local flavor - the unique, tender Don herring.

This is a reflection of the traditions of the Don hospitality, as well as a good opportunity to get acquainted with the culture of the Don Cossacks.
