The expert panel of the Federal Tourism Agency gave the most points to Peter I’s Startup Route, and it is one of five routes recommended to be included into the National Project Tourism and Hospitality Industry. The project’s routes have a national status.

Peter I’s Startup Route is 265 km long, it takes three days and two nights and includes visits to Rostov-on-Don, Azov, Taganrog and locations of the sea coast - Merzhanovo, Tanais and Sambek. It was tested in 2021 and received huge positive feedback. Beside historical and cultural sites, tourists coming to the Don country can check out modern technology, if they visit an IT cluster in Taganrog, where large IT companies and VR/HR labs are located.
