2,150 respondents from 7 large Russian cities took part in the survey. According to the survey results, most residents of Rostov-on-Don (63%) plan to have a rest in Russia, with the epidemiologic situation falling into Top 5 factors of choosing a travel destination. Vacation budgets get tighter: over a third of holiday-makers (36%) intend to spend less than usually. Only 11% respondents said that they would spend their vacation at home. In the meanwhile, the most popular travelling destination is Russia – local tourism is a choice of 63% respondents. 15% plan to travel both abroad and about Russia. 12% Rostovites anticipate to have a holiday abroad. For most respondents (79%), it will be a family vacation. The vast majority of Rostovites who plan to travel about the country will go to the seaside, to the neighboring Krasnodar region and Crimea (84%). 15% respondents chose large cities as their travelling destination (Moscow, St Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Kaliningrad). However, 75% respondents agreed that they would travel about Russia more eagerly, if they knew more about interesting places and itinerary organization details.
