The Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report 2019 has been published recently. This document is published every other year starting from 2007. Russia took the 39^th place, however, it had been only the 43^rd two years earlier. In 2019, the rating covers 140 countries. Their positions depend on numerous different criteria, including historical and cultural heritage, a level of economic development, transport infrastructure, communication and healthcare, visa policies and so on. The criteria are numerous, but they are related to possibilities of the country to receive foreign travelers. The best results are in healthcare and hygiene. The Russian Federation ranked 6^th according to this parameter.
