Monument to Pilots Boris Kapustin and Yury Yanov

On November 22, 2022, a monument was inaugurated to Soviet pilots Boris Kapustin and Yury Yanov, who perished in April, 1966 in the aircraft crash, preventing mass casualties among residents of West Berlin.

Boris Kapustin was buried in Bratskoye Cemetery in Rostov-on-Don, where he spent his childhood and youth. His widow Galina Kapustina lives in the city. His name was given to a street in Voroshilovsky District of the city and Secondary School 51, which Kapustin had attended.
