Monument to D. D. Lelushenko

Dmitry Lelushenko is an outstanding Soviet military commander. He came through two wars: the Soviet-Finnish War and the Great Patriotic War. He was twice recommended for the title of the Hero of the Soviet Union. He hailed from the Rostov region. When the General received the second gold star medal of the Hero of the Soviet Union, it was decided to install a monument in his honor in Rostov. A sculptor P. V. Kenig and architect L. A. Modarov worked on the monument. The monument was set up in 1969. It is a bust of the military commander, placed on a trapeze basement. The General is portrayed with orders on his chest.  The monument to Lelushenko is located in First Pioneer Gathering Garden Square in Krasnoarmeyskaya Street.
