Don Rowing Canal

The rowing canal was set up in the late 1960s, and it was a large water area with small wooden constructions – rowing bases. The clean and fresh water of the artificial lake produced by springs from the lake bed fits well into the natural physical landscape. The unique feature of the rowing canal is a special natural micro climate combined with close proximity to the city’s center. The administrative building houses a hotel, a cafe, a fitness center with a sauna, an exercise room, a convalescent center. The Don Rowing Canal is a venue for numerous mass-scale sports events for residents of Rostov-on-Don, and it is their popular recreation site.
