War Memorial at Theater (Tetralnaya) Square

The coupled stele shoots upward to the height of 72 meters. It is mounted with a 100-ton cap resembling the ship rostrum. From the side of the Don river the stele is decorated with the statue of Nike, winged goddess, and from the side of Theater Square – Order of the Great Patriotic War, I^st Grade. At the bottom the stele is encircled with tuff blocks – stone campanile with austere statues of soldiers. They personify: Front, Rear, and Peace.
