During 2018 FWC, Leaders of Five Foreign States May Visit Rostov
During the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia in Rostov, the Rostov Region may enjoy visits of five country leaders, whose teams will play at Rostov Arena Stadium, says Yury Molodchenko, Deputy Governor of Rostov Region.
Before the world championship, five state leaders tentatively informed of their visit. These countries include Switzerland, South Korea. Nearly all the visits will be combined with business missions as well. Italians, the Swiss and others have already stated their willingness to have meetings with businessmen.
“We are holding negotiations with Saudi Arabia. We would like both the business community and members of the royal family to take part in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia and visit the Rostov Region”, adds Molodchenko.
At the same time, Guðlaugur Þór Þórðarson, Minister for Foreign Affairs in Iceland, announced that his country might follow Great Britain to boycott the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia. If the government of Iceland decides to boycott the international competition, no state officials will attend the matches. However, the boycott will not affect the national team or supporters. As you know, in Rostov, Iceland will play the final match in its group against the Croatian national team.
