Rostov's Preparations for Victory Day Celebrations
The city is actively preparing to mark the 81st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Festive decorations have begun to appear on streets and squares. This year, Rostov will be adorned with flag displays featuring 663 flags, over 600 panels—including children's drawings on Victory themes—and a large-format panel on Theater Square. The city carefully preserves the memory of the war years. More than 2,000 Rostov residents have actively joined the commemorative campaign. There are 148 memorial graves and monuments in the city dedicated to WWII events, and all of them will be tidied up by May 1.
