Monument to the Dog called Lisa

Monument to the Dog called Lisa

In February 2020, a monument to the dog Elizaveta was set up near one of the entrances of the Gorizont Shopping Mall. The dog had lived several years close to the shopping center. It was under the care of the mall's owners, after it was hit by the car near the facility. After the accident, mall employees took the dog to the veterinarian to give it treatment, and Lisa became a local celebrity.

The monument to Lisa is made of bronze. It was set up on the site where the dog had usually welcomed visitors. At its foot, the author inscribed a Russian translation of the quote by the writer Chuck Palahniuk: “Our humanity isn't measured by how we treat other people, our humanity is measured by how we treat animals."
