Synagogue, Jewish religious community
The building of the Rostov synagogue (former Soldatskaya choral synagogue) was erected in 1872 on the funds of the Jewish soldiers-cantonists and it represents a monument of history and architecture of local importance. The synagogue was built in the art nouveau style with oriental elements. The architectural image of the synagogue is supplemented with stucco rosettes, massive cornice and a rampart. In 1993 the synagogue was returned to the Jewish community.
