On March 16, the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia (Rostechnadzor) held the final inspection of Rostov Arena Stadium, and the sports facility was put into operation, reports the press office of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation.

Pavel Kolobkov, Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation, noted that the arena construction project had been a happy choice.

“It is a cozy stadium to seat 45,000 visitors. It enjoys a comfortable location, which makes it easily accessible for all the city residents. I’m sure the stadium and the well-designed area around it will be a favorite destination for Rostovites”, said Kolobkov.

Sergey Sidash, Deputy Governor of Rostov Region, mentioned that one of the stadium’s unique features is its perfect view from any seat.

Even from the last upper rows, visitors can hear voices of players well, they can clearly see their faces and movements. It is achieved thanks to steep stands, when each row is nearly 45 cm higher than the previous one.

Construction works on the left bank started in August 2013, and it took slightly more than 4.5 years to complete them.
