DonExpocenter will host the largest regional arts exhibition, Art-Rostov

For the eighth time, Rostov-on-Don will turn into the cultural capital of the Southern region: fr om April 21 to 30, DonExpocenter will host the largest regional arts exhibition, Art-Rostov. Every year organizers not only try to surprise Rostovites, but also offer them an opportunity to see the world’s masterpieces of pictorial art with their own eyes.

This time one of the highlights of the project will be a multimedia exhibition, Ivan Shishkin. Lonely Forests. It is aimed to celebrate the 120th death anniversary of the great Russian landscape painter. Ivan Shishkin is certainly the strongest Russian landscape artist.

At the exhibition, visitors will be able to enjoy paintings of the great artist to the full. The project will feature three thematic zones. All the visitors will be able to see a multimedia exposition of paintings by Shishkin, his original pictures (oil painting, graphic art) and to visit a mini museum devoted to the great landscape painter, wh ere elements of the interior from the painter’s house will be exhibited.

The exhibition will also include master classes and presentations from painters, handicraft master classes for kids and adults, concerts and performances, literature reading, theatrical shows.

The multimedia exhibition, Ivan Shishkin. Lonely Forests, will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 30.
