The city authorities look to it that the city’s streets, parks, garden squares and yards get improved and change for the better. The city’s mayor A. Logvinenko keeps a close eye on improvement of the urban spaces. This year the city has planned to improve favorite recreation areas in the Northern Residential Area: pedestrian areas in Druzhba Park in Komarov Avenue, to refit 71 kids’ play areas and to plant 5,200 trees and 16,800 bushes out of the public funds. The district will get new greenery and flower beds. Works to establish an uninterrupted environmental park along the Temernik River are under way – currently, the first mile is developed. Presently, spring trees and bushes are planted. New trees and bushes appeared in Frunze Square Garden, in Sorokoletiya Pobedy Avenue and Stachki Avenue, in Pervy Pionersky Slyot Garden Square and at many other sites.
