The Victory Tram ran in the central streets of Rostov on May 9. It made excursion trips along Routes 1 and 10. Songs of the 1940s and 1950s were performed on its stage on steel wheels. Professional vocal groups performed on the open platform of the tram. At the stops, Rostovites could listen to stories about battles that had been fought in these places, about heroes who had hailed from the Rostov region, whose names are given to the city’s streets and parks. Witnesses of the war shared their memories about the city’s defense and occupation.
