Sculptural Composition to Commemorate the War Children

The monument to commemorate the war children was inaugurated on May 10, 2016 in the garden square near the Holy Trinity Church, at the intersection of Mezhdunarodnaya Street and Stachki Avenue in the center of Zheleznodorozhny District, Rostov-on-Don.  The monument’s author is Karen Parsamyan, a local sculptor. The monument is 170 cm tall, its weight is around two tons. The monument is a bronze sculptural group of two children making themselves warm near the wall of a shell-smashed house. The boy has heated up food in the pot and is warming up his hands, the girl is waiting for her brother, she is holding a doll in her hands.
