Monument to Y. A. Zhdanov

On November 21, 2011, a monument to Y. Zhdanov, a rector of Rostov State University (from 1957 to 1988), was inaugurated in front of the Zonal Scientific Library of Southern Federal University. The three-meter bust is cast in bronze, and the basement is made of Karelian granite. The project’s authors are an architect N. Morgun, a creative architect Y. Dvornikov and a sculptor S. Oleshnya.
