Bust of Hero of Russia D. V. Petrov

The bust of the Hero of Russia D. Petrov was inaugurated in Rostov-on-Don on March 12, 2020. Parents of the paratrooper of the 6^th Squadron Vladimir and Lyudmila Petrov, Deputy Governor Vadim Artemov, pupils and teachers of the school which the hero had attended took part in the official ceremony. D. Petrov was killed in battle on February 29 – March 1, 2000. At that time, at the line Ulus-Kert-Selmentauzen, Chechen Republic, the 6^th Squadron of the 2^nd Battalion of the 104^th Guards Parachute Regiment of the 76^th Airborne (Pskov) Division entered a battle with a detachment of Chechen and Arab militants numbering up to 2,500 people. This combat was the last for 84 military personnel.
