Pushkinskaya street

Pushkinskaya street is indeed a crown jewel of Rostov-on-Don. By early 20th century it was the second important street after Bolshaya Sadovaya Street. The monument to the Pushkin whose name is assigned to the street was erected in 1959 (by the sculptor G. Schultz).
The special coloring is ensured by ancient mansions with distinctive architectural plastics and interesting history, small coffee houses and shops, cozy benches, green grass spread among colored pedestrian paths like a carpet and certainly famous Pushkin balls, one of the remarkable declarations of love for the great poet (the balls are created by sculptor A. A. Sknarin).
