Exhibition German Occupation

Exhibition German Occupation

The world of executioners and victims, violence, executions, ruins, ashes - the tragic experiences of the war years are reflected with document accuracy. Meer Moiseevich Axelrod (1902–1970), a Soviet artist, a member of the Four Arts society, was born in Molodechno (about 6,000 paintings and graphic works). The unique cycle German Occupation was created during the Great Patriotic War. It is not for the first time that Axelrod's works are displayed at the Rostov Regional Museum of Fine Arts; in 1968, the artist's personal exhibition was a success there.
