Days of Polish Culture in Rostov-on-Don

From October 18 through 25, Days of Polish Culture will be held in Rostov-on-Don. The festival will be formally opened in the Don State Public Library. Natalya Mishina, Vice President of the Association of the Don Poles, a Rostov non-governmental organization, and Zofia Monka, Consul of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Russian Federation, are expected to visit the event.

During the week, the library will host an art exhibition, Friendly Glance, an exposition of books, Poland in the Books of the 17th to early 20th centuries. The exposition will open with an artifact from the history of Polish science — Zielnik Herbarzem, a book by Simon Syrenius, a doctor from Cracow (published in 1613).

In the cinema hall, Adam Mickiewicz Drama Studio will give a mini performance based on the novel With Fire and Sword by the Polish writer Henryk Sienkiewicz.

On October 21, a concert of classical music by Polish composers will be performed as part of Days of Polish Culture.
