N. E. Paramonov mansion

In 1914 under the project of architect L. F. Eberg there was built an exquisite mansion for Nikolay Paramonov, the son of the famous merchant E. T. Paramonov. Nikolay Paramonov (1876–1951) was an entrepreneur and an art patron, a prominent social and political figure of the early 20th century, founder of “Donskaya Rech” book printing house that in the first year of its existence became one of the best provincial printing houses. Since 1947 the building being the monument of neo-classical architecture is occupied by the Regional Library of the Rostov State University.
