During the Great Patriotic War, Soviet photo reporters and cameramen took hundreds of thousands of photos, shot over 3 million meters of film.  They took shots fr om cockpits, firing  ports of earth-and-timber emplacements, decks of army assault boats, streets of cities and towns caught on fire – from all the points wh ere there were fights. Thanks to work of war-time photographers and cameramen, everyone interested has an opportunity to comprehend the feat and courage of soldiers of the Red Army, partisans, homefront workers – the feat of the Soviet people. The exhibition is based on large-size photos made in 1941 to 1945 by a photo reporter of the Krasny Chernomorets newspaper A. S. Sokolenko, which he prepared for an exhibition in 1965 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
