Lyande Street

Vladimir Nikolayevich Lyande (1918–1949), commander of the “Х-13” Reconnaissance Group of the 181st Reconnaissance Detachment.
At the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, V. N. Lyande, a native of Rostov-on-Don, being part of the naval infantry brigade, fought the enemy near Moscow, took part in the defence of Odessa and Sevastopol, where he was wounded. After he got better, he was sent to serve in the Northern Fleet.
In 1944, a group of scouts under command of V. N. Lyande landed deep in the enemy’s territory on the Norwegian coast, where they stayed eight and a half months. V. N. Lyande’s group reported on movements of 600 transport and fighting vessels of the enemy and passed information on defence of the Varanger Peninsula.
After demobilization, V. N. Lyande worked in the criminal investigation department in Rostov-on-Don.

Ростова-на-Дону Лянде В.Н. в составе бригады морской пехоты сражался с врагом под Москвой, участвовал в обороне Одессы и Севастополя, где был ранен. После выздоровления был направлен на Северный флот. В 1944 году группа разведчиков во главе с Лянде В.Н. высадилась в глубоком тылу вражеских войск на побережье Норвегии, где разведчики пробыли восемь с половиной месяцев. Группа Лянде В.Н. сообщила о передвижении 600 транспортных и военных судов противника, а также передала сведения об обороне полуострова Варангер. После демобилизации Лянде В.Н. работал в уголовном розыске Ростова-на-Дону.
