The statue of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia official mascot, Zabivaka the Wolf, will be installed in Rostov-on-Don. Along with it, over 20,000 flowers will be planted in the city.
Before the international football tournament, the following art objects will be installed in Rostov-on-Don: Stella, Arch, RUSSIA 2018, ROSTOV-ON-DON, three-dimensional installations featuring the official mascot, Zabivaka the Wolf. According to sketches, the wolf has a ball on its nose. The installation will be taller than a man.
Before the international football competition starts, over 20,000 flowers will be planted in 115 flowerbeds, 14 rockworks, 147 ground flower vases in the city’s parks.
For reference, during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, teams of Brazil and Switzerland, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia, South Korea and Mexico, Iceland and Croatia will play in Rostov-on-Don. The city will also host a round of 16, when winners of Group G play against runners-up of Group H.
