The European Rostov

A walk along the main street of Rostov-on-Don – Bolshaya Sadovaya Street – fr om Fan Zone to Maxim Gorky Park. The route starts from the visit the park of October Revolution wh ere you’ll see one of the biggest ferris wheel  in the South of Russia. Its height is 65 m. Further on – the acquaintance with Theater (Teatralnaya) Square, the main street of the city, Pokrovsky Garden Square and the Square of Soviets. This tour will tell you about the origination of the city, its glorious past, will make you feel the local flavor and peculiarities of Rostov-on-Don. There are two academic theatres of unique design on the way, a fountain and the monument created by the world-famous sculptor Evgeny Vuchetich; the monument to Elizaveta Petrovna, ataman Matvey Platov, the founders to the city, universities and so on.
