Sculpture of Rostov Plumber :

The system of housing and utility services for the majority of city dwellers associates with a plumber. Hence it is possible to say, that a plumber is a kind of symbol of housing and utility services in Rostov. Rostov-on-Don is not the first city, where it was decided to memorialize the labor of plumbers. There are similar sculptures in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Krasnoyarsk, Perm, and other cities.

The 2-meter statue represents an amiable plumber, who pets a cat, which is warming itself at the radiator of central heating. The author of the “Plumber with a Cat” is Mikhail Ushakov, sculptor, Member of the Arrtist’s Union of Russia. The sculpture molded in bronze was installed on April 28, 2016.
