Monument to Peter and Fevronia :

Anatoly Sknarin, Honorary Artist of Russia, captured in bronze the moment of the distant XIII c., when Peter, the prince of Murom, handed a ring to Fevronia, daughter of the wild-hive beekeeper, to unite two lives into one. The bronze figures are put to the granite pedestal, and there is an image of Holy Mother above them. The Holy Mother smiling at them from a cloud reminds that the matches are made in heaven.

The first monument to Peter and Fevronia – “Union of Love – Wise Marriage” was installed on July 8, 2008, at their homeland, in Murom (across the road to the local Office of Vital Records). At the same year the stepping stones were also laid into the foundation of the monuments to Peter and Fevronia in three more cities: Sochi, Yekaterinburg, and Novosibirsk. Today there is also a monument to Peter and Fevronia in Rostov-on-Don.
